EMI Strategy is led by Emily Manz, an energetic, economic development professional specializing in economic development strategy, marketing, and events. EMI particularly specializes in marketing strategies that celebrate place – creating fun, informative walking tours, leveraging free online tools like social media, and using relationship-based marketing strategies like earned media for her clients. EMI also focuses on being inclusive – ensuring an accurate depiction of a place’s population is reflected in marketing strategies, and local business owners are engaged. A cheerleader for America’s downtowns and urban centers, and a perennial optimist, Emily begins each project with a deep dive into a location’s assets, and ends with aggressive implementation of client and EMI determined strategies. Manz serves as a proactive and detail-oriented member of a client’s team and she serves or has served Bloomfield Center Alliance, Preservation New Jersey, Project for Public Spaces, RBH Group, the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation, Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation, Bound Brook Revitalization Partnership, Downtown Millburn, Audible.com, Ironbound Business Improvement District, Commercial District Services, Select Detroit, the NJ Historic Trust, and Invest Newcastle among others. EMI Strategy recently completed Bloomfield Center’s Virtual Restaurant Week and Holiday Hunt.
